The purpose of the Professional and Workforce Development Working Group is to facilitate the development and delivery of ongoing education for professionals involved in the delivery of child cancer services. It also provides a role in monitoring workforce capacity across the spectrum of child cancer services and developing initiatives to improve the satisfaction of individuals involved in the delivery of care

The objectives of the group include:
- Identifying education and training requirements of professionals involved in the delivery of child cancer services
- Supporting the development of education and training solutions
- Continuously monitoring specialty workforce to identify any capacity issues and enable a coordinated national approach to workforce planning and development.
